Columbia Basin Care Facility is a 73 bed skilled nursing facility located in The Dalles, Oregon. Both the residents and facility staff are committed to put forth a real change on what the traditional “nursing home care” used to be about. Considering they have an outdoor space with a garden and a golf course, this task is not hard. Columbia Basin’s rehab team provides cutting edge technology and functional based programs to provide the best care possible. They believe in a team approach between the physician, nursing, and therapy departments to create an excellent rehabilitation program.
We strive to provide the best care to our residents in order for them to live at their best. The therapist are committed to providing comprehensive rehab and partners well with facility administration and nursing. We pull together as a team and respect each others input.
The facility has a good size gym with an outdoor space with stairs,Omni VR, parallel bars, Hi/low table, cuff weights, t-band, dumbbells, balance discs, nu step, omnicycle, rolling mirror, ACP modalities, and a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, washer/dryer, sink and fridge. Some of the programs offered at this facility are Stand Strong and Chronic Conditions and Chronic Conditions.
With the difficulties and uncertainties associated with the Covid outbreak, Consonus was on top of keeping us updated on best practices in order to keep our pt’s and staff safe. When our facilities had an outbreak, I felt very prepared and supported, and was able to work with the facilities in order to continue therapy services. Help was always only a phone call away.
